Victor Osimhen is widely expected to leave Napoli this summer, with several of Europe's top clubs credited with an interest.
The 25-year-old led Napoli to their first Scudetto in over 30 years last season, and despite battling with injury this term, has scored 17 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions this season.
According to transfer expert Rudy Galetti, Chelsea have a plan to snag Osimhen from Napoli, which involves using players to reduce the deal's total cost.
This should be no problem for Chelsea, who have arguably the most bloated first-team squad in Europe.
Chelsea to use Fofana, Casadei in move for Osimhen
“As for the transfer chapter, Chelsea want Victor Osimhen, who will leave Napoli at the end of the season, more and more,” he told AreaNapoli via Sport Witness.
“The Blues want to negotiate the terms of the release clause and it cannot be ruled out that the English club will try to include players such as Casadei or David Fofana in the negotiation to lower the price, although Napoli are not open to negotiating the price and are only asking for cash.
“With Victor a personal agreement is not so far away and the parties will continue talking in the coming weeks."
Osimhen is also a leading name on PSG's list but it remains to be seen where the Nigerian will end up this summer.
