‘They will buy him for crazy money’ - Nigerian legend Oliseh tips Osimhen to make big move to EPL next summer
Osimhen, who joined Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray in a record-breaking summer deal, has previously been on the radar of English clubs.
His stock rose significantly after a stunning performance in Nigeria's 2026 World Cup qualifier against Benin.
He scored a hat-trick in a dominant 4-0 victory that propelled the Super Eagles into the African playoffs.
Oliseh sees Osimhen in the EPL
Oliseh believes Osimhen's work rate, technical skill, and relentless intensity make him Nigeria's standout talent.
Speaking on his podcast, the former Super Eagles captain predicted a bright future for the forward. "If Osimhen plays the next three or four games like he did against Benin, I can assure you that in the next one or two years, he’ll be heading to the Premier League," Oliseh stated. "And they will buy him for crazy money."
"He is the best player we have at the moment, even though Lookman is rated a bit above him because he’s the current African Player of the Year," Oliseh explained.
"But when you're talking about quality and what a player brings to the game, he's the best. The way he played this weekend showed his hunger and fight; this is the kind of match that suits him."
Osimhen scored six goals in six games for the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifying matches he played.
