‘There are few teams that can afford him’ - Luca Marchetti names two clubs that can pay Osimhen’s fee

Victor Osimhen has been a target for top teams in Europe after having an impressive season with Napoli.

The Super Eagles star led his club to their first Scudetto and also led his country to the finals of the 2023 AFCON.

Marchetti highlighted the importance of financial capability in securing Osimhen's services, particularly with Napoli facing constraints in their wage structure. 

He emphasized, as reported by Radio Marte via Spazionapoli, "If a club is really interested in signing Osimhen and knows that Napoli can hardly pay a salary of 10 million, does it offer 110 or 120 million?"

"This is why playing roles or negotiations is important. I believe that today Osimhen could be worth around 100 million; There are few teams that can afford him but these teams might need a striker."

The pundit mentioned PSG as a logical destination, especially considering the potential departure of their record scorer, Kylian Mbappé. 

He stated, "The mention of the Ligue 1 table toppers comes as no surprise as the club's pulse will be aided by the possible departure of record-top scorer Kylian Mbappé."

Marchetti also hinted at the financial prowess of Chelsea, indicating that the Blues could be contenders in the pursuit of the Super Eagles forward.
