The whole board of the NFF has to go - Super Eagles legend Mikel Obi gives solution to World Cup problems
Former captain of the Super Eagles Mikel Obi has demanded a complete overhaul of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board if the national team fails to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This statement from Obi comes after a disappointing 1-1 draw against South Africa in a recent qualifying match.

Despite boasting talented players in some of the world's top leagues, the Super Eagles have faced challenges in the qualification series.
Mikel wants consequences for the NFF as the Super Eagles are on the verge of missing the World Cup for the second consecutive time.
The former Chelsea midfielder made his thoughts about the NFF known in a recent episode of the Obi One Podcast.
He said, "I just think the whole board of the NFF, they need to go. They need to go.
"If we don't qualify for the World Cup. The whole board of the NFF, do you get I'm saying it right now.
"I'm saying it right now because it's not acceptable. Twice in a row we're not gonna qualify for the World Cup.
"We are one of, we are the biggest, footballing country in Africa, the biggest, I don't care what anybody says.
"The government, if the government want to get involved, They have to get involved because it's not acceptable."
The Super Eagles are third in the World Cup qualification group behind leaders the Bafana Bafana of South Africa and second-placed Squirrels of Benin Republic.
Nigeria is set to take on Venezuela in an international friendly match set for Houston in November.
