The only thing that makes Messi angry — Teammate and best friend Luis Suarez opens up

Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi were teammates at Barcelona from the summer of 2014 until Suarez left the club in the summer of 2020.

The pair, who are best friends off the field, have now re-united in the MLS, playing for Inter Miami.

Messi, known for keeping a cool head and displaying a quiet demeanour on and off the field, can get super angry on occasion, according to Suarez. 

Speaking about Messi on La Mesa podcast, Suarez said: 

“It’s not easy for him to lose little games in football and even during training. 

“If he is losing at soccer and tennis, and he gets hot. If you defeat) him, he gets angry. 

“But then get ready, because he eats you every time.”
