Thank you LEGEND — Man U fans shed hot tears as Marcus Rashford’s goodbye imminent ahead of Aston Villa transfer
Marcus Rashford’s time at Manchester United appears to be coming to an emotional close, as the forward prepares for a shock loan move to Aston Villa.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has been reached for Villa to cover 70 percent of Rashford’s staggering £325,000-a-week salary, with a £40 million option to make the deal permanent.
The 27-year-old is expected to undergo a medical on Sunday, sealing what could be the beginning of a new chapter away from Old Trafford.

Romano further reports that if all goes well, Rashford could sign a potential three-and-a-half-year deal at Villa Park at the end of the season.
This move comes after weeks of speculation surrounding the England international’s strained relationship with United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim.
The tension had left Rashford frozen out of the squad for nearly two months, raising serious doubts about his future at the club.
Villa’s need for attacking reinforcement became more urgent after selling striker Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr this January.
If all goes as planned, Rashford could soon be linking up with Ollie Watkins and Marco Asensio in Unai Emery’s attack, giving Villa a significant boost as they push for a top-four finish.

👀 As revealed, Aston Villa work on both Asensio and Rashford. Separate topics, same as João Félix. pic.twitter.com/IaB4ZlI5E0
However, the transfer window closes at 11 PM on Monday, leaving little room for any last-minute hitches.

You can agree it's time for him to leave the club, and also agree it's sad to see him go.
"But you still have this place to call home."
THANK YOU, RASHFORD! 🥹❤️ pic.twitter.com/6ahyxccqlM
My heart refuses to accept that this is how Marcus Rashford's career ends at United. I'm not ready to say goodbye.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I will be really sad to see Rashford leave

Can’t remember the last time I rooted for a player to succeed at United as much as I did for him
Marcus Rashford, a lifelong Manchester United fan, will be playing for Aston Villa because the manager asked him to put in more effort, and he REFUSED. Let that sink in. #MUFC pic.twitter.com/TqXxEHm02E

Seeing lots of folks trying to rewrite history with Rashford and talking a whole lot of nonsense.
— Privilege Mufc 🇾🇪 (@privilege_mufc) February 1, 2025
Yes he has been poor in the last 2yrs but there's no denying that before that he was one of our most important players. Anyone denying that is just being dishonest.
having to see Marcus Rashford in a jersey that isn’t red still seems surreal to me 💔

I was 15 when Rashford debuted vs Midtjylland in 2016, and it felt like I grew up with him. He’s the last United academy graduate older than me, and in some way, that feels significant. His journey has been part of mine, and the fact hes leaving is depressing—we failed him. https://t.co/MFdfXTQ1TV

Folks will call Luis Nani, ole Gunnar solksjaer, Ruud vanistelrooy & Javier Hernandez manutd legends but say Marcus Rashford is not

Big disrespect!! Goodbye legend till we meet again
People still don't grasp the significance of selling a player like Rashford. This decision will instill fear in any player who believes they can underperform without consequence. Players will now put in maximum effort. Long may this continue.

Despite the mixed reactions, one thing is certain – Rashford’s move marks the end of an era at United.
With the final details being ironed out, all eyes are now on Sunday’s medical, which could officially signal the start of Rashford’s next adventure at Aston Villa.
