Tems turns San Diego FC owner: Nigerian Afrobeats star snubs NPFL for American MLS investment
Nigerian-born singer, songwriter, and producer from Lagos Tems has invested in Major Lagos Soccer (MLS).
Tems who has won two Grammy Awards and is nominated for an Oscar, was introduced by San Diego FC as the newest member of the Club's ownership group through her firm, The Leading Vibe.

In a statement on the San Diego FC official website, Tems explained her decision to join the group.
She said, “I am thrilled to join San Diego FC’s ownership group and to be part of a Club that celebrates creativity, culture, and the power of community.

Tems also took to her official Instagram account to celebrate her latest achievement.

Tems joins San Diego after an influx of Nigerian players to the San Diego Wave, a team from the same region in the NWSL.
