Everton football club have invited Super Eagles legend for a farewell occasion as they bid goodbye to Goodison Park stadium.

Goodison Park, which has a seating capacity of 39,414, is situated in the Walton neighbourhood of Liverpool and has served as Everton's home since 1892.

Everton are moving to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock at the end of the 2024-25 season. 

After the 2024–2025 season, the Toffees will say goodbye to Goodison Park in honour of this historic occasion.

Amokachi invited by Everton

Everton has scheduled several events and invited respectable figures including Daniel Amokachi for the goodbye ceremonies of Goodison Park

Birkenhead reports that Amokachi will be performing at one of these events, along with favourites Lee Carsley and Thomas Gravesen.

The 51-year-old Amokachi had a fantastic tenure with Everton from 1994 to 1996, during which he won the FA Cup in 1995.

He will always be remembered for his two goals against Tottenham Hotspur in the semifinals and his post-final celebration in a beret.

Victor Anichebe, Joseph Yobo, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Hope Akpan, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman are more Nigerian players who have donned the Everton shirt.

The club's charitable division, Everton in the Community, has revealed that live music performances will be a feature of the farewell festival.

From May 30, 2025, to June 1, 2025, there will be three evenings and an afternoon of live music at the "Farewell to Goodison Festival."

The evening sessions will run from 5 to 10 p.m., and there will be a youth event on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

The club intends to construct a stage in front of the Gwladys Street end that can hold 20,000 spectators; for the junior tournament, the capacity will be reduced.
