Stanbic Uganda Cup: Orit debuts for BUL as they ease into the last 32
Former Vipers SC winger Ibrahim Orit made his long-awaited debut for BUL FC as they comfortably beat Simba 3-0 in Round 64 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at Namulonge Grounds on Wednesday.
Orit came on in the 71st minute for forward Gerald Ogweti as the Eastern Giants cruised to the Round of 32 of the 50th edition.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Kazindula, Walter Ochora and the red-hot Alex Kitata netted on the day to have them push their pursuit for glory this season.
BUL are in search of their second-ever Uganda Cup, after their first in the 2021/22 campaign under Alex Isabirye.
On an evening to remember, BUL got their lead in the 41st minute through Kazindula's well-taken strike.
They added a second in the 54th minute as ochora headed in superbly from a Jeremy Kiirya free-kick.
Following a rebound from Pascal Ngobi's strike, Kitata picked up the pieces to slot in his team's third on the evening.
They will now visit Kyambura Rasters as they seek a spot into the last 16.
BUL continue to enjoy a blistering campaign, as they also lead proceedings in the Uganda Premier League with 37 points.
