Right wingback Joseph Dhata extended his excellent form this season, guiding NEC FC past a resilient Busoga United in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16 tie at the Kakindu Stadium on Tuesday.
The former Vipers player struck with a thunderous drive after latching on a loose ball from Busoga defender Isaac Isinde, to send the Diehards into the quarterfinals.
It made it four goals for Dhata in the 2023/24 Uganda Cup having played just three matches.
