Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino has signed off as a Liverpool player in a thrilling eight-goal classic against Southampton at St. Mary’s.
Firmino netted an audacious nutmeg goal to double Liverpool’s advantage in the game after Diogo Jota’s opener in the 10th goal.

The 31-year-old was handed a start in his final game for the club alongside another red playing his last game for the club, James Milner.
Firmino scored in his final game at Anfield and followed that with another in his final game for the club to end his time at the club in style.
However, the Brazilian and his Liverpool teammates were denied a win in the end as the Saints came from two goals down to force a share of the spoils.

Jota and Kamaldeen Sulemana were the stars of the show at the thrilling encounter at St Mary’s after they grabbed a brace each.
Liverpool started the strongest of the two teams and took a two-goal lead through Jota and Firmino, who started in his final game for the Reds.
Southampton, however, turned on the heat on their visitors, bouncing back with two goals of their via James Ward-Prowse and Sulemana to level the scores at 2-2 at the break.
In the second half, Southampton continued from where they stopped with Sulemana giving the Saints the lead for the first time in the game before Adam Armstrong extended it when he made it 4-2 just after the hour mark.
Liverpool had to dig deep to force a share of the spoils with Cody Gakpo and Jota scoring late to save their blushes.
