'Slot deserves more time' - Jamie Redknapp urges patience with Arne Slot after Liverpool’s shock 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest

Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp has called for calm and patience around Arne Slot after the Reds suffered a shocking 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, one of the club’s worst results at Anfield in recent years.

The defeat leaves Liverpool sitting 11th in the Premier League, alarmingly closer to the relegation zone than to leaders Arsenal, who remain firmly in title contention.

The result has intensified frustration among supporters as the team's recent form has been nothing short of disastrous.

Despite the growing unrest, Jamie Redknapp believes the club must remain patient and avoid rushing into decisions that could destabilise the season further.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Liverpool midfielder defended Slot’s record and urged the hierarchy to trust the process: “They need to be patient. Arne Slot deserves that after last year.”

Redknapp emphasised that Slot’s achievement, guiding Liverpool to the Premier League title, should not be overlooked, and insisted the manager has earned the right to navigate the current storm.
