Sebastien Ogier Reveals What is Giving Him Confidence of Ninth WRC title
Eight-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Ogier is aiming for a ninth title in 2025.
Following Rally Finland, he confirmed he will add more rallies to his initially limited schedule for the season. While he planned a partial season, Ogier has already secured three victories, two second-place finishes, and one third across six rallies.
Despite missing three rallies, Ogier sits third in the championship standings, only 13 points behind leader and Toyota teammate Elfyn Evans. He's confirmed to compete in the next two rallies in South America—Paraguay and Chile.

“When you're in this position and have the chance to add two or three rallies to the original program, it's definitely worth the risk,” Ogier explained to Belgian television channel RTBF. “We know it won't be easy, but we're still in the chase.”
“Every point is hard-earned. But we've achieved six consecutive podiums. If we maintain this consistency, nothing is impossible.”
“I think it’s great for the fans. With five rallies left, four drivers are fighting for the title, and the point differences are minimal—it's fantastic!”
Five rallies remain in the season. Following Paraguay and Chile are two asphalt rallies—Central Europe and Japan—before culminating with the new event in Saudi Arabia.
