Rangers determined to continue cup run against 'difficult' Doma United
Rangers International are expecting a difficult battle of the Federation Cup when they tackle Doma United in the next round.
The NPFL sides go head-to-head in one of biggest the quarterfinal ties in the Federation Cup this weekend.
Both teams will clash this Sunday at the Akure Township Stadium to determine who picks the ticket to the semifinal.
Doma United will be difficult
Rangers Chief coach Mbwas Magnus has been speaking about the all-important clash as his Flying Antelopes prepare for a difficult tie.
According to Magnus, the Gombe side will be a difficult nut to crack for his Antelopes.
“We just overcame one of the surprise teams of the competition and they gave us a good match despite the score line,” Magnus stated per the club’s media.
“We showed more maturity and determination to win and got it. In the next round, we expect a much more difficult side, Doma United, which we played twice in the NPFL and saw the quality in them.”
Rangers and Doma met twice in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, with the Antelopes taking four points from a possible six.
The game in the Federation Cup will be the third meeting between the two and both clubs will be hoping to go all the way after missing out on the Super Six (6).
“We are much more determined and focused to do the needful and pick the ticket to the semi-final,” Magnus added.
“Our players are in the best frame of mind to challenge any team remaining in the competition as we hope to use the competition to compensate for our not-too-impressive show in the NPFL. “
