Time to go — Premier League legend Shearer reacts to Harry Kane's move to Bayern Munich
Premier League legend Alan Shearer is the happiest man alive after England’s Harry Kane swapped England for Germany.
Shearer has reacted to Kane’s decision to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich from Tottenham.
According to the Pulse Sports report, the England skipper has completed his move to the Bavarians.
Kane to Bayern
The 30-year-old striker has sealed a move to Bayern who have since unveiled the England skipper as their new player.
Kane has put pen to paper on a four-year contract that will see him stay at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2027.
Bayern Munich paid one hundred million pounds to prise Kane from the Premier League side.
The forward had scored 213 Premier League goals to come within touching distance of Shearer’s record.
Shearer’s reaction
But following the move to Bayern Munich, Kane has missed the chance to break the 260 goals record held by Shearer.
The Newcastle United legend has reacted to the transfer after seeing that his record will last for a few more seasons.
“You’re the best Harry,” Shearer posted on his official X.com account. “Good luck. You deserve success,” he added moments after Bayern confirmed the transfer.
While the former Newcastle United and Blackburn star has wished Kane well, his initial comment on the transfer proved to be an interesting one.
After Bayern and Spurs reached an agreement that would see Kane travel to Germany, the Premier League legend offered to fly his compatriot in a cheeky post.
“Come on Harry it’s time to go,” he posted.
