Paris 2024: Super Falcons or South Africa set to face Spain, Brazil in Group of Death

The Super Falcons of Nigeria now know where they will find themselves, should they manage to beat South Africa to clinch one of the two slots available to CAF. 

Randy Waldrum’s side play Bayana Bayana over two legs in April. The first of which will be played on April 4th in Nigeria, with the return leg scheduled five days after the first in South Africa. 

The winner of the match between both colossus of the African women's game have been placed in Group C with current World and UEFA Nations League champions Spain. 

They will not only have to play World number one, Spain, but they have also been drawn with number seven-ranked Japan, and the team ranked 10th in the world, Brazil. 

Given Nigeria’s showing at the last World Cup and South Africa’s at the last AFCON, they will be expected to hold their own, making Group C undoubtedly the proverbial Group of Death.
