Osimhen is coming - Arne Slot plans deadly front three of Wirtz, Salah, and Super Eagles star

Liverpool and Arne Slot have turned their sights to Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen after agreeing a deal for Florian Wirtz.

The Merseyside club have also added former Bayer Leverkusen wingback Jeremie Frimpong to their ranks after losing Trent Alexander Arnold to Real Madrid.

However, one area still remains of concern to Arne Slot as they look to retain their Premier League crown – the centreforward position where neither Darwin Nunez nor Diogo Jota have flourished.  

This explains why Liverpool have their eyes on Super Eagles of Nigeria goalmachine Victor Osimhen.

According to Givemesport, Liverpool have held a private meeting with the Nigerian striker, with the intention of bringing him to Anfield next season.

It was also reported by TRB Football, Osimhen is keen on a move to the Premier League, even though Liverpool first choice remains Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

However, the Merseyside’s alternative option is Victor Osimhen, a striker who has proven his worth at Lille, Napoli, and most recently Galatasaray.

Should Slot successfully capture the services of the Nigerian goalpoacher, Liverpool will have a deadly front three of Mo Salah, Florian Wirtz, and Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen has been on a season-long deal with Galatasaray from Napoli, where he has scored 37 goals in 41 games for the Turkish giants.

The arrival of the Nigerian star at Anfield will most likely help Liverpool retain their Premier League title, should the former Napoli man hit the ground running.
