The Nigerian star attempted to calm angry supporters as tensions threatened to derail the match which had to be temporarily suspended.

The game took an early dramatic turn when Youssef En-Nesyri put Fenerbahce ahead within the first five minutes, capitalising on Anderlecht’s defensive blunder.

However, moments later, the match was paused due to violent clashes between rival supporters in the stands.

Players from both teams retreated to the dressing rooms as officials tried to restore order. Osayi-Samuel was also seen confronting agitated fans, attempting to defuse the heated situation and push for the game to resume before the players left the field.

Once play restarted, Luis Vasquez grabbed an equaliser for Anderlecht, but their comeback hopes remained slim as they trailed 4-1 on aggregate after a 3-0 first-leg defeat.
