A star-studded lineup of twelve former Super Eagles players are set to feature in a friendly match between Africa Legends and Barcelona Legends this weekend in Abuja.

The trip to Nigeria marks the second match of the season for the Barcelona Legends, who recently secured a 3-2 victory against Monterrey Legends in Mexico.

Former Barça defender Albert Ferrer will once again lead a squad filled with club icons and some new additions.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

Okocha and others to represent Africa

Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Vincent Enyeama and others will feature in the Africa Legends vs Barcelona Legends friendly game this weekend.

Other Super Eagles players, such as Haruna Babangida and Gbenga Okunowo, will be playing for the opposition, having once donned the famous blaugrana jersey.

The African squad will be bolstered by a host of other Nigerian greats, including Taiye Taiwo, Elderson Echiejile, Obafemi Martins, Victor Ikpeba, Julius Aghahowa, and Daniel Amokachi, with former Super Eagles star Samson Siasia managing the team.

Joining the Nigerian contingent are other continental icons such as South Africa's Mark Fish, Togo's Emmanuel Adebayor, Senegal's El Hadji Diouf, Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El Hadary, and Ivorian star Didier Zokora.

The team features household names like Gaizka Mendieta, Ludovic Giuly, Javier Saviola, and Nolito. Making their debuts for the Legends side are former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song, who played for Barcelona for two seasons, and La Masia graduate Andreu Fontàs, who recently retired after a successful career.

The travelling squad also includes goalkeepers Vítor Baía and Jesús Angoy, defenders Philippe Christanval and Juan Pablo Sorín, and former midfielder Roger Garcia.
