Osarenkhoe stunner denies Enyimba revenge vs Bendel Insurance

Emerging superstar Imade Osarenkhoe was on the score sheet again as Bendel Insurance maintained their unbeaten run in the NPFL.

Osarenkhoe secured a point for the Group A leaders following a share of the spoils in Aba after Insurance held Enyimba to a 1-1 draw on Sunday evening.

In what was a week 10 encounter between the two NPFL giants in Group A, two of the league's top scorers, Chukwuemeka Obioma and Osarenkhoe were on target again.

Ahead of the encounter earlier today, the host Enyimba were looking for revenge after Bendel Insurance defeated them by a lone goal in the reverse fixture.

The People's Elephant started on a positive note when Obioma's 44th minute penalty put them 1-0 up at the break.

In the second half, the visitors were much-improved as they searched for the equaliser which proved elusive until late on.

With nine minutes left on the clock, Insurance talisman Osarenkhoe produced a moment of brilliance to draw the Benin Arsenal level with a stunning strike.

It was no less than Insurance deserved but Enyimba thought they had a chance to restore their lead via another penalty in added time but their appeal fell on deaf ears.

Insurance held on for a share of the spoils that sees them maintain their unbeaten run at the top of the table and seven point lead over Enyimba, who remain second.
