‘Not Comparing Myself to Henry’ - Viktor Gyokeres' Main Motivation Behind Arsenal's Iconic No.14
Arsenal's new signing, Viktor Gyokeres, has chosen the number 14 shirt but insists he doesn't want comparisons with the legendary Thierry Henry.
The Swedish striker decided to don the jersey that was made famous by Henry during his hugely successful spell at Arsenal that saw him leave as the club's all-time scorer and Gyokeres has the resposibility of living up to the standard.
"I know the history of the number [but] there weren't many options available. When I saw 14 was free, the decision was easy," Gyokeres told the British media on why he chose the shirt.

Gyokeres Keen to Forge Own Path
He added, "I don't want to be compared to Henry. I want to forge my own path, show my own qualities. He was a fantastic player, but different from me."
The 27-year-old Swedish international completed his move to the Gunners from Sporting Lisbon last Saturday for €63.5 million.
Gyokeres had a stellar season last year, breaking all sorts of records. He scored 54 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions, also winning the Portuguese league title.
