‘Nnọọ Kelechi’ – Sevilla welcome Super Eagles icon Iheanacho ahead of summer transfer
Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has arrived in Spain to finalise his contract as he nears a potential transfer to Sevilla after leaving Leicester City at the end of his previous contract.

The Spanish club excitedly announced Iheanacho's arrival through a series of welcoming pictures on their X account, as the forward prepares for his imminent move to the Andalusian side.

The 27-year-old is set to undergo medical examinations before finalising the deal, which is expected to be a two-year contract with an option for an additional year.
Upon completing the transfer, Iheanacho will become only the second Nigerian to don the Sevilla jersey in the club's 134-year history, following in the footsteps of Chidera Ejuke who joined the LaLiga giants this summer as well.
Iheanacho ends Leicester romance to sgn for Sevilla
Iheanacho joins Sevilla as a free agent, following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City in June.
His departure from Leicester marks the end of his seven-year spell at the King Power Stadium which he has called home since he joined the Midlands club in 2017,
During his time in the Premier League and Championship with Leicester City, Iheanacho made notable contributions, scoring 61 goals in 232 appearances, helping them to the Championship title in 2024 and FA Cup in 2021.
