In what was another showcase of his status as Africa’s reigning Footballer of the Year, Osimhen proved to be a handful for the visitors.

After a dull first half, the match finally came to life in the final 21 minutes with Nigeria’s Osimhen fully involved.

The 24-year-old opened the scoring in the 69th minute but the lead only lasted three minutes before Cagliari equalised.

However, three minutes later, Osimhen was at it again as he turned provider this time, with the Serie A player of the year showing his relentless attitude to set for partner Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the decisive winner.

The reigning African and Italian best player has also added to his assist tally, with two in 12 matches in the Serie A.
