It seems Bandari might not have to wait for too long before the attacking midfielder returns to action.

Bandari FC midfielder Mohamed Mbarak Abeid alias Mudiga might return from the knee injury he suffered a bit earlier than expected.

Mudiga sustained the injury during an exhibition game against KPA (KECOSO Team) on September 13 last year, and the club organized surgery for him to undergo further treatment in Mombasa.

Bandari has now confirmed Mudiga is relishing an opportunity to rejoin the Dockers in full training as he edges closer to making a comeback.

"The young attacker, Mohamed Mbarak Abeid (Mudiga), continues to do personal training after undergoing surgery and being treated for a knee injury," the club said.

However, the exact timeline for the striker's return is still unclear, but he will likely miss all of the Docker's six remaining matches to the end of the season.

Mudiga joined Bandari in July 2022 on a permanent deal from National Super League side Coastal Heroes on a two-year contract.

He had been on a five-month loan at Bandari  and made his topflight debut in February last year during a match against Gor Mahia.

Mudiga had been signed during the era of coach Andre Casa Mbungo and, at that time, was signed alongside Kenyan international Kevin Kimani, who has since left the club.

Bandari is placed eighth on the FKFPL table after managing 41 points from 27 matches.

Twahir Muhidin's charges will take on Vihiga Bullets in their next league match at Mbaraki Sports Club on Sunday afternoon.
