More Problems for Manchester United as Frustrated Star Demands Transfer
Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has requested to leave the club on loan before the transfer window closes on Monday, September 1st, according to reports from the BBC and Sky Sports.
The midfielder has informed the Red Devils' hierarchy that while he does not wish to sever ties with the club, he is keen to secure more playing time.
The request was denied by the club's management, who explained that he is considered an important part of the team's present and future and must remain at Old Trafford to fight for a starting spot in Ruben Amorim's squad.

Mainoo Asked to Fight for His Place
The Portuguese manager left Mainoo on the bench for Manchester United's first two matches of the season but started him in the humiliating Carabao Cup second-round defeat to a League Two side Grimsby Town.
Mainoo faces a tough challenge, as he is currently competing for one of the two midfield positions with team captain Bruno Fernandes, a fact confirmed by Amorim himself a few days ago.
It is expected to be a busy few days at Old Trafford before the Premier League transfer window closes, with the departures of Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund, as well as the signing of Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, all expected to be finalised.
