Mixed reactions from Masaba, Wasswa as Gaddafi hold BUL
Simeone Masaba went on his knees to pray shortly after the final whistle at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru following another disappointing result as his BUL fired blanks in a barren draw against Gaddafi.
The draw further dented BUL’s hopes of fighting for the league, but Masaba, who is acting as head coach until the season, believes all is not lost.
“We cannot give up because the season is still on,” Masaba told the media.
“We want to build a team of young players but that will need some patience because it’s not something you do overnight,” he added.
Satisfied
The draw leaves them third on the table with 30 points but, on the other side, pushes Gaddafi into the top eight with 24.
Gaddafi’s head coach Wasswa Bbosa left satisfied with the result;
“We have been affected by a lot of injuries that have sidelined most of our starters, so a point is more than welcome for us,” Bbosa said after the game.
The injured players include Mahad Yaya, Stephen Munguchi, Bakari Magumba and Sadiq Sekyembe.
