Messi vs Ronaldo: Christian Pulisic names GOAT that makes all his teammates better
AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic is the latest footballer to weigh in on the nigh-impossible to avoid question of who the greatest of all time is between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 25-year-old USMNT star recently made a move from Chelsea to AC Milan in the Serie A this summer, and in a conversation with ESPN, he was made to pick between the two football icons.
What Pulisic said
Like many, Pulisic was diplomatic in his answer to this question, but he still gave a definite answer. The American star gave credit to Cristiano Ronaldo for his exploits but stated that he thought Lionel Messi was better.
Pulisic gave reasons for his choice; firstly, he admitted that he watched more of Mess while growing up, and this has created a bias towards the Barcelona legend. He then added that he picked Messi for his ability to amplify the talents of his teammates.
"It's tough to say for me,” he started, per Sportskeeda.
“Messi was the one I watched all the time, my favourite player growing up. He makes all his teammates better. I think just the way he carries himself on the field.
"Nothing against Ronaldo. I've seen it first-hand, and he's an unbelievable player. It's not an easy one, but I would say Messi because when I grew up, he was my favourite.”
