Mbappe set to stay in France following late bid for Paris Saint-Germain Youngster

Ligue 1 side Lille have made significant strides to secure the services of Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ethan Mbappe, Kylian Mbappe's younger brother.

According to an update by Santi Aouna, Lille have reached a verbal agreement with the young midfielder and have already scheduled a medical examination, for the 17-year-old.

Lille has built a reputation for being an ideal environment for young players to develop their skills and make their mark in professional football, and the club looks set to add Ethan Mbappe to their list of harnessed talents which also includes Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen.

For Ethan Mbappe, joining Lille is an opportunity to finally step out of his brother's shadow and establish his own identity in the footballing world.

From Lille's perspective, signing a player with Ethan Mbappe's potential aligns with their long-term goals of breeding youngsters for the first team or potential profit.

Ethan Mbappe decided not to follow his brother’s footsteps with a move to Real Madrid not on the youngster’s radar as he currently considers offers from within his native France.
