Martin Murimi and Team Shine at Migaa to Win KCB East Africa Golf Tour Leg

The four-ball of Martin Murimi, Michael Mithika, Wilfred Itegi, and William Mbuthia produced an outstanding combined score of 153 points to claim the overall team title at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour held at the Migaa Golf Course on Saturday.

They edged out the quartet of Peter Ng’ang’a, Mike Kamanu, Arnold Olyaro, and Joseph Gwandaru, who posted 142 points to secure second place in the highly competitive event that attracted over 200 golfers from across the country.

In the individual categories, Caroline Muriuki (handicap 32) delivered an exceptional round, carding 42 stableford points to be crowned the overall winner. She narrowly beat William Mbuthia (handicap 22), who finished as the men’s winner with 41 points.

Pam Nkirote (handicap 26) also impressed, returning 41 points to claim the ladies’ title. In the special awards, Steve Mungemi won the Longest Drive (Men) category, while Wairimu Gachiru took the honours in the Ladies’ Longest Drive.

Antony Mbadi and Patsy Kihiu were nearest to the pin in the men’s and ladies’ divisions, respectively, with Terra Saidimu emerging as the guest winner.

Among the KCB staff participants, Peter Ndichu (handicap 20) triumphed with 37 points, beating David Kitheka (handicap 16), who returned 35 points to finish runner-up.

Speaking after his team’s victory, Martin Murimi expressed delight at the performance: “Today is such an incredible day here at Migaa. Our preparation paid off, and my four-ball was fantastic. We pushed ourselves, and I’m proud of this result. We now look forward to the grand finale on December 5.”

The next leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour will tee off at the Eldoret Golf Club on November 15, 2025, as the series continues to promote competitive golf across the region.
