Gareth Southgate's insistence on Harry Maguire comes into question once again, as the Manchester United defender's own goal was the only blemish on England's dominant 3-1 victory against Scotland.
The three Lions returned to winning ways after a drab draw against Ukraine in Poland. Away from European qualifying business, the Southgate-led side blew away a fellow British side in an international friendly.
How it happened
The England boss received a lot of flak for his decision to start Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire in the 1-1 draw against Ukraine; both players were dropped to the bench for this match.
England started with verve, and after probing for half an hour, they got the opener, when Kyle Walker set up his Manchester City teammate Phil Foden.
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham continued his goal-scoring exploits this season, reacting sharply to a loose ball in the area and firing England 2-0 up only three minutes after the opener.

Maguire was a half-time substitute, and in the 67th minute, he gave Scotland a way back into the game, turning the ball into his own net.
Harry Kane restored the Three Lions' two-goal lead in the 81st minute, the last goal of the game before the final whistle.
