Liverpool: Premier League Champions on Verge of Striker Swoop from German Club
After reaching a personal agreement with the player, Liverpool is now close to finalizing a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for Hugo Ekitiké, according to reports in both English and German media.
The Athletic reports that this will be another major signing for the English champions. If the deal goes through as expected, Ekitiké’s transfer fee will be the highest ever received by Eintracht, surpassing the €95 million the club earned from Randal Kolo Muani's move to PSG two years ago.

Ekitiké has already agreed to personal terms with Liverpool, as reported earlier this week, and is poised to sign a five- or six-year contract. The Athletic adds that the deal between the two clubs could be finalized by Monday.
Liverpool turns to Ekitiké after missing out on Isak
Needing a striker, Arne Slot's side approached Newcastle to inquire about the terms of a potential transfer for Alexander Isak.
When those negotiations fell through, the Reds turned their attention to Ekitiké, who was also a target for Newcastle had Isak departed.
This will be another lucrative sale for Frankfurt, who signed Ekitiké from PSG just a year ago for €17.5 million. The 23-year-old impressed in Germany, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.
Following the additions of Florian Wirtz (€125 million plus bonuses), Milos Kerkez (€47 million), and Jeremie Frimpong (€40 million), Liverpool continues to strengthen its squad, aiming to secure back-to-back Premier League titles, a feat they haven't achieved since 1984.
