Liverpool owners release heartfelt response to Klopp's departure announcement

Since he arrived in 2015, Klopp has been a driving force behind the club's spectacular success, guiding Liverpool to notable triumphs including a Premier League title, a Champions League crown, and victories in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

In response to this significant announcement, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), the owners of Liverpool, expressed profound gratitude for Klopp's tenure. 

Mike Gordon, representing FSG's top brass including John Henry and Tom Werner, highlighted Klopp's tenure as a period of immense success and joy. 

He said as reported by the Mirror, “First and foremost, on behalf of John Henry and Tom Werner, I would like to state our profound appreciation for Jürgen." He acknowledged Klopp not just as an exceptional manager but also as a beloved leader, expressing respect and affection for his remarkable achievements.

While acknowledging the sadness of Klopp's departure, FSG emphasized their respect for his decision. They assured fans that the club would operate "business as usual" until Klopp's exit. 

The statement read, "It is a testament to Jürgen’s unstinting professionalism... that his decision was arrived at in a way which allows for business as usual to be maintained for the remainder of his tenure." 

FSG is now focused on two key objectives: ensuring the team's current progress continues and preparing for a future without Klopp. 

They reassured supporters that all steps would be taken in the best interest of the club and its fans, promising updates on significant developments.

As Klopp prepares for his next fixture, an FA Cup tie against Norwich City at Anfield, he is expected to receive a warm and rousing reception from the home crowd.
