The Reds, despite a blockbuster transfer window, have endured a brutal stretch in the Premier League, losing five of their last six matches.

Record-Breaking Transfers Under Scrutiny

Liverpool were widely praised for their ambitious summer business, which included record-breaking deals for Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.

The additions of Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and forward Hugo Ekitike were initially hailed as smart reinforcements intended to propel the club back into title contention.

Speaking in an interview with Adventure Gamers, Fowler admitted he had early concerns about some of the arrivals.

“I do,” he said when asked if any signings reminded him of his doubts about Núñez.

He added, “A lot of coaches and managers can see within the first training session or first game how a player adapts… how they run, move, control the ball. That was one of the first things I noticed with Darwin Núñez.”
