Kitara sign FUFA Big League record-scorer
Striker Denis Omedi will make his grand debut in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League next season after signing for Kitara FC.
The club unveiled the 2022/23 FUFA Big League top scorer on Sunday night on a two-year contract that will keep him until 2025.
Omedi won the golden boot last season after emerging joint-top scorer with 22 goals for Booma FC.
“Welcome the one and only best marksman,” Kitara made the announcement.
“Denis Omedi is a Royal through & through until 2025 and was officially unveiled by club CEO Joshua Atugonza,” the club revealed the details.
The new development ends speculations over the 27-year-old’s future after reports had linked him to Maroons FC.
Omedi is a practising nurse working with the Uganda Prisons Services.
He was recently promoted to the rank of a lance corporal alongside 27 other players from Maroons and She-Maroons.
It's official 💪✌️☑️
