KCCA, Vipers fans scrambling for Allan Okello's signature

Fresh from announcing his departure from Algerian outfit Paradou AC, playmaker Allan Okello is hot on the market, and it surely won't be too long before he finds a new home.

The aftermath of Okello's pronouncement has been met with fans groping and clambering for his signature.

KCCA FC and Vipers SC fans have expressed the biggest interest and called on their administrations to tie the 23-year-old to a contract.

On the local scene, KCCA would be his most likely destination as he has been a 'Kasasiro Boy' since childhood, to stardom.

He is a darling at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, as he has previously played for the team on two separate stints.

Okello debuted for the Cityzens in 2017 and featured for them till 2020; they went away to Algeria for two campaigns before returning to the team last season on loan.

Okello also won two Uganda Premier League titles, two Uganda Cups and a CECAFA Kagame Cup with KCCA.

However, Vipers will also fancy their chances as administrators at Kitende are long-time admirers of the talented attacking midfielder.

The Venoms also feel they could easily outbid KCCA for Okello's wages should he decide to weigh both options.

Meanwhile, as of today, it's still being determined whether the Uganda Cranes player will return to the country or he will opt for a move abroad.

Okello may consider his knee surgery first or continue playing within the pain barrier.
