Asinde has been away for a few days to take part in the Global Jam.

The Global Jam is a 5-on-5 Under-23 basketball tournament featuring women’s and men’s teams from around the world.

Asinde was on the team selected by the Basketball Africa League to represent the continent and came up against Canada U23, the University of Louisville (US) and Puerto Rico U23 teams.

Having arrived from Canada on Wednesday, it remains to be seen whether Asinde will take part in the team’s planned scrimmage against a select side on Thursday night.

Head coach Alberto Antuna and his coaching staff will have the opportunity to test their progress against a team selected from the National Basketball League.
