Jamaica vs USA: Hansle Parchment addresses beef with Grant Holloway ahead of Olympic Games
Jamaica’s Hansle Parchment and his long-time track rival American Grant Holloway will definitely be carrying their beef to the 2024 season after a mixed 2023 season for both of them.
Parchment and Holloway both first clashed at the Diamond League Meeting in Rabat, Morocco where the American beat the Jamaican.
They then proceeded to the Diamond League Meeting in London where Parchment finished fourth as Holloway reigned supreme at the event. At the World Championships, the American stunned Parchment again and he seemed to have had enough of the defeats.
The duo clashed again at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen where the Jamaican reigned supreme as Holloway finished third. Their final race was at the Prefontaine Classic where the Jamaican also beat Holloway, who was competing on home soil.

The Jamaican has come out to speak about their rivalry and he boldly noted that he was excited to have beaten Holloway and set a Personal Best time.
“We try to enjoy ourselves as well when racing, we try to push each other every time we compete. He has a massive start and I try to learn from that, every time I see him competing.
I believe he looks up to me as well because I’ve been competing for many years before he started so I think it’s a good rivalry and it makes the competition great,” he said.
He added that he would just take a rest and come back next season feeling refueled and ready to strike again.
