Injury scare for Man City as Kevin De Bruyne set to be out for weeks
Man City were able to see off Burnley 3-0 in their first game of the new Premier League campaign.
Two goals from last season's top scorer Erling Haaland and Rodri was enough to give the Premier League champions a comfortable win.
However, the win came at the expense of Kelvin De Bruyne getting injured in the first half of the game.
The Belgian has a hamstring setback which he sustained during the Champions League final against Inter Milan.
Guardiola says De Bruyne will be out for some weeks
Pep Guardiola said that City's medical team will need to consult with De Bruyne to see whether he needs serious attention, according to reports from Daily Mail.
Guardiola said, “It depends on the magnitude of the injury but he will be out for a few weeks.
“He is down. We have to reflect, talk to the doctors and see what happened. He has to be relaxed, recover and come back.”
De Bruyne left the pitch in Istanbul due to an injury, and the Spanish manager said that it might be a recurrence.
Guardiola continued, “He said to me it's a problem in the same position as the Champions League.
“He recovered well but now we've lost him for a time. We have to reflect and talk to the doctors and the physios.
“He has to be relaxed, recover and come back. He was feeling really good.'
Man City will be without their talented midfielder Kelvin De Bruyne for the next couple of weeks.
