'Injured' Osimhen scores as Napoli beat Apollon

Super Eagles of Nigeria star Victor Osimhen can't stop scoring for Napoli.
On Friday, August 11, 2023, Osimhen returned to action for reigning Italian champions Napoli in a pre-season fixture against Cypriot side Apollon Limassol.
Napoli were unable to break down Apollon Limassol as the first half ended without a goal.
The breakthrough eventually came in the 60th minute thanks to Osimhen.

After his goal, Osimhen was substituted for Argentine striker Giovanni Simeone in the 65th minute.
In the 71st minute, Simeone would seal the win for Napoli with their second of the game.
Osimhen on fire in pre-season
It was an impressive performance for Osimhen as before the game there were reports he suffered a serious injury in training.

Osimhen has been in good form this pre-season for Napoli, as just last month he scored in their 4-0 friendly win against Turkish team Hatayspor.
It was a continuation of good vibes for Osimhen as a day earlier he celebrated his sister Blessing on her birthday.
Osimhen returns to action when Napoli begins the defense of their Serie A title against Frosinone on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
