Speaking to Prime Video’s "Married To The Game" docuseries, Sara shared her unexpected yearning for the city of her husband’s former team Manchester, saying, “I kind of miss Manchester now.”

She also reminisced about arriving in Manchester without expectations but leaving as a wife and mother.

In an Instagram post, Sara wrote, "I can't say much just because I'm not realizing what is happening. All I can say is thank you Manchester for giving us all this love and thank you to our friends. I will miss my City family.”

Sara also praised her husband, Ilkay Gundogan, acknowledging his remarkable performances on the field.
