I don't know — Arsenal's Kai Havertz says he is clueless about his best position
Arsenal star Kai Havertz told reporters he does not know his favourite position after the victory over Brentford.
The 24-year-old scored the match-winner for the Gunners in their triumph over the Bees to send them to the top of the Premier League.
What Havertz said
The Germany international has played in many positions in his career. Prior to joining Arsenal, he played as a forward for Chelsea but has been deployed as a midfielder by Mikel Arteta since making the move to North London.
He also famously played left-wing-back for Germany over the international break, and after the heroics at the G-tech Community Stadium, he was asked where he thought his famous position was, and he said he had no clue.
He told reporters that he did not know what his best position was but was at a point where it did not matter, as he was willing to assume any role that helped the team.
Speaking further about the game, he said: "Today I got it [the goal] and it paid back, I am just happy I got it for the team,” per the BBC.
"It was a brilliant goal and brilliant pass as well. I think we train this way as a team a lot; Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard love to play those balls.
"It is hard work; nothing comes from itself and you have to work and have to believe. I tried to put my ego aside and the team is the important thing."
