He is a great signing — Villa legend predicts 2024/25 EPL winners

Talk about bold predictions. Well, here's one for you; former Aston Villa captain, Gabby Agbonlahor, has tipped Arsenal to win the 2024/25 Premier League title ahead of Manchester City.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Agbonlahor expressed his confidence in the Gunners' ability to lift the trophy, citing their impressive defensive record and new signing Riccardo Calafiori as key factors.

"The reason why they [Arsenal] are probably favourites [to win the title] is because let's look at last season, they only finished two points behind Manchester City," Agbonlahor said.

"People forget that it was tight, it might not have seemed tight, but it was. They were right there, and I think they've got the momentum now."

Agbonlahor highlighted Arsenal's solid defense as a major strength, saying: "They are not conceding many goals either, and that's a big plus. When you're not conceding, you're always going to have a chance to win the game."

The former England striker also believes that new signing Riccardo Calafiori will bring additional stability to Arsenal's already impressive back four.

"With Calafiori in there as well, he is going to add more stability to that very good back four already there," Agbonlahor added. "I think he's a great signing, and I think he'll make a big difference."
