Hazard set to rival Orban for Belgian league title following transfer
Belgian big name Thorgan Hazard will be competing with Nigerian stars like Gift Orban, Yira Sor, and Tolu Arokodare for the Belgian Pro League title after completing a move to Anderlecht this summer.
Hazard joins Anderlecht
The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder signed a three-year contract with Anderlecht to complete a €4 million transfer from the Bundesliga to the Belgian Pro League in order to revive his career.
Hazard struggled to impact Borussia Dortmund in his final season with the club and was forced to make a loan switch to the Eredivisie with PSV after struggling for game time in the Bundesliga.

The Belgian midfielder will now join up with the fallen giants who finished in 11th place in the 2022/23 league campaign and will be hoping he can help spark a revival for the Paars-wit starting this season.

Antwerp’s Al Hassan Yussuf was joined this summer by winger Chidera Ejuke as they look to retain their title won last season after a dramatic end to the season.
Genk’s Sor also has Arokodare for the company at the club as they look to turn the last campaign’s disappointment into joy this campaign.
Gent’s Gift Orban is still one of the leading figures in the Belgian Pro League, despite only joining the club in January this year, and will be looking to improve his stock and reputation in the game as the Buffalos look to earn league success for the first time since the 2014/15 season.
