Harambee Stars forward Jonah Ayunga saw his team’s three-match winning run come to an end following a frustrating goalless draw at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Ayunga, who started the Scottish Premiership match, missed one key chance as Stephen Robison’s men failed to continue their charge up the table in what has been a fruitful month of December.

A first half when chances were few and far between gave way to a second that both sides had opportunities to break the deadlock.

On-loan Celtic goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi denied striker Dan Nlundulu from close range while Shamal George pulled off a good save to keep out Lewis Mayo's half-volley from 20 yards out.

Former St Mirren forward Greg Kiltie's deflected shot on the turn spun onto the roof of the net while at the other end, Oluwayemi reacted well to bat the ball clear when Ayunga met Declan John's corner to flash a near-post header on target.

That was the only main moment for the Kenyan striker before he was replaced in the 56th minute by Mika Mandron.

Kilmarnock weathered a late storm from their hosts to nick a point that saw them move four points clear of bottom-placed Livingston.

St Mirren, who are now unbeaten in five games, remained ninth on the 12-team standings with 18 points from 17 games.

Elsewhere, Kenyan internationals Masud Juma and Anthony Akumu started for Nejmeh SC in their 3-0 thrashing of Al Hikma that saw them move top of the standings in the Labanese Premier League.

Juma, who has five goals and two assists in eight games, was not on target this time as Hassan Jaafar, Ali El Fadl and Hussein Siblini netted for the league leaders in what their final game of 2025.
