Gor Mahia Coach Explains Why They Are More Prepared Than Ever to Claim League and Cup Double
Gor Mahia coach Sinisa Mihic has explained what gives him confidence that his team will win an FKF Cup and Premier League double this season.
K’Ogalo are in the semi-final of the cup and five points behind league leaders Kenya Police, but with a game in hand over the law enforcers, which if they win, the gap can be just two.
Gor Mahia face bottom-placed Nairobi City Stars on Thursday and must win to avoid losing ground in the title race and Mihic says he has managed to conserve the energy of his team added to the returning players which gives him confidence of ending the season with two trophies.

“I have seen some players who were not in the last two matches they are coming up and I think we will have the best month. These five games will be the best about our performance and I am sure we will show the best performance because to win the cup every match is a final.”
Gor Mahia had been on a three-match winning run before last weekend’s Mashemeji Derby was postponed due to an unavailability of a suitable venue and will hope to continue their good run against City Stars.
Mihic’s team must, however, be wary of City Stars, who handed them a 2-1 defeat last October, although Gor Mahia had won five previous meetings against Simba wa Nairobi.
