Gombe United defender Toyin Alege has said that for his team to qualify for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Super 6 playoff, he as well as his teammates must remain focused.
After an outstanding 2-2 away draw against Nasarawa United last weekend, the Savannah Scorpions are currently five points off the top three in Group A.
Making Super 6 is stiff competition - Alege
Speaking ahead of their next fixture, the defender acknowledged that, despite fierce competition for a top-three finish, Gombe United may be able to achieve it with greater effort and commitment.
“We all need to be focused and calm to achieve our playoff target,” Alege said according to Daily Post.
“Though the competition is high considering our position but with concentration and hard work we can achieve it no doubt.”
