Former Serie A star backs Nigeria's Samuel Chukwueze to entertain in AC Milan
Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze has received strong backing from a former Serie A star to turn things around at AC Milan.
Chukwueze and Milan take on Fiorentina in a crucial match this weekend in the Serie A at the San Siro on Saturday and has been backed by former Milan goalkeeper Giovanni Galli to make an impact at home.
Chukwueze to shine for Milan
The former champions will welcome the Viola hoping to seal their first three points in five matches.
However, the Rossoneri, who have not won a game since the narrow victory against Genoa early last month, will play that game without two important players.
Star forwards, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud will miss that important clash due to injuries and Nigeria’s winger, Samu, has been backed to be one of the players that will step up for Stefan Pioli’s men.
“Right now, playing a delicate game without two such strong strikers can weigh heavily,” Galli said per Notizie Milan.
“For Fiorentina, it will be a clear advantage, but I expect that sooner or later the others will also be unblocked. Above all, Chukwueze. So far it hasn't been seen, but the player observed in Spain can entertain."
The 24-year-old has had a difficult start to life with the Italian giants following his much-celebrated arrival from LALIGA side, Villarreal in the summer.
Chukwueze, who missed Nigeria’s last two matches in the WCQ due to an injury, has provided just one assist in eight appearances for Milan this season.
