Fire him now -Ugandans call for Micho's head after failing to qualify for AFCON
Uganda Cranes' hopes of returning to the Africa Cup of Nations were shattered Thursday night despite a 2-0 win over Niger in Marrakech, Morocco.
Tanzania's goalless draw with Algeria in Algiers was enough to send the Taifa Stars to the continental showpiece at the expense of the Cranes, and this has awakened the debate about head coach Milutin Sredojevic's job.
In the aftermath of the Cranes' failure to qualify, several Ugandans have expressed disappointment in the team but, especially the coach, for continued heartbreaks and below-par performances.
"Arrest Micho as soon as he steps out of that plane. Don't let him cross over to immigration. In fact, deport him," one Cranes fan posted on social media Friday morning.

Micho still has a year left on his contract but now faces pressure from the public, and it remains to be seen if FUFA will allow the Serb to run down his contract or show him the exit before its expiry.
Another disappointed fan said: "Uganda won't go anywhere unless Micho and Magogo are sacked. And the boys will never be motivated when the home games are played far away from home."

Whereas Micho and the team will undoubtedly take the most significant chunk of the blame for not getting the desired results, there are factors that were beyond their control, like playing home matches miles away from home.
The lack of up-to-standard sports infrastructure has forced the team to play two home matches in Egypt and Cameroon, and with no home fans to rally the Cranes, results were hard to come by and significantly contributed to the failure.
"Arrest all Uganda Cranes players on arrival at Entebbe Airport. Deport Micho," yet another Ugandan expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's performance.

Deport Micho.
"We shouldn't let Micho board that plane to Uganda, let him swim past Mediterranean sea to Spain and walk but to Serbia. Enough is enough. Naye ne stadium tetuyina but we shall deal with that ...Micho out first. #MichoOut.

Uganda finished third in Group F with seven points, one behind Tanzania. Algeria topped the group with 16 points, while bottom side Niger only managed two points.
FUFA have yet to come out with any statements regarding Micho's future, but what is for sure is that the fans are tired, and some are not afraid to make their sentiments known publicly.
