Faith Kipyegon displays cultural pride and stuns in beautiful traditional photos for her 30th birthday
Taking time off-track activities, multiple World Record (WR) holder Faith Kipyegon stunned in her beautiful traditional photos to celebrate her 30th birthday.
Kipyegon shared photos on her X page, wearing different attires and accessories in traditional outfits, which shows her cultural African pride as a Kenyan.
The reigning World and Olympic 1500m champion posted these pictures with a short, simple caption - "It’s my birthday", using some love emojis with it.

It isn't the first time that Kipyegon will show her cultural pride for the world to see, as she also made headlines after wearing a traditional outfit to receive her Female Athlete of the Year (Track) at the 2023 World Athletics Awards.
Aside from making waves for becoming the first female athlete from her country to win the award, her outfit also got fans talking about how different and gorgeous she looked.
How Faith Kipyegon Became the Track Athlete of the Year
The World 1500m Record holder was crowned ahead of Jamaica's world 200m champion Shericka Jackson, and the Netherland's world 400m Hurdles champion, Femke Bol.
Her outstanding 2023 season was highlighted by breaking Genzebe Dibaba’s World Record (WR) in the 1500m with a sensational time of 3:49.11, becoming the first woman to break the 3:50 barrier.
This record set the pace for a clutch of WRs Kipyegon will later run in the 5000m and one mile, making her one of the most outstanding athletes of the 2023 season.
Faith Kipyegon's focus on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
With the spotlight on her and as the pride of her nation, Kipyegon will be aiming to defend her Olympic 1500m title and perhaps add the 5000m to it.
She'll will also have her eyes set on breaking her WRs with better performances this season.
