Uncertainty as Ex-Super Eagles star Emmanuel Emenike and wife unfollow each other on social media
Emmanuel Emenike’s marriage is rumoured to have allegedly hit a snag.
The former Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, who is currently married to the stunning Iheoma Nnadi, has sparked curiosity about his 6-year marriage.
This comes after Emenike and his wife Iheoma apparent unfollowed each other on social media.
However, Pulse Sports cannot confirm the rumours of a breakdown in the former footballer’s marriage, as neither Emenike nor his wife Iheoma Nnadi have confirmed the alleged reports.
Emmanuel Emenike and Iheoma Nnadi spark rumours of marriage breakdown
Emenike and Iheoma Nnadi have enjoyed a beautiful relationship since tying the knot in May 2017.
The couple has also never been hesitant about showing their affection for one another on social media.
However, recently, the couple’s relationship seems to have taken a hit following their recent activity on social media.
Emmanuel Emenike, 36, and his wife Iheoma Nnadi have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The former West Ham, Fenerbahce, and Spartak Moscow forward has also taken down all posts of his wife from his Instagram page, while setting his account to private.
Although, photos of himself are still visible on his wife’s Instagram page for which she boasts over 93K followers.
Iheoma, who is a former beauty queen also uploaded a cryptic post on her Instagram account with an emboldened emoji of a broken heart amid the rumours of a crisis in her marriage to the former Nigeria international.
As of the time of this report, it remains unclear if her post was related to the rumours of her marriage to Emenike, or if the couple are allegedly having issues.
Pulse Sports has reached out to both parties for a comment but is yet to get a response.
Emmanuel Emenike Career
Emmanuel Emmenike is a former Nigerian international footballer who played as a striker.
Emenike represented in a number of clubs in Europe including Spartak Moscow (Russia), Fenerbahce (Turkey), Olympiacos(Greece), West Ham(England) and most recently Westerlo in Belgium.
In the 2012–13 season, Emenike scored the fastest goal in the history of the Russian League, within 10 seconds of kick-off in a 2–1 win over Alania Vladikavkaz in the opening game of the season.
Emenike is famous for scoring a 30-yard free kick that gave Nigeria a 2–1 win over Côte d'Ivoire in the 2013 African Cup of Nations in which the Super Eagles recorded Nigeria's first continental victory since 1994.
His four goals proved crucial to Nigeria's progress through the tournament, and he was named to the team of the African Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament..
He also received the Pepsi Tournament Top Scorer, with four goals, along with Ghana's Wakaso Mubarak.
Following Nigeria’s exit from the World Cup in 2014, Emenike announce his retirement from international football the following year.
Known for his physicality, speed, shooting and finishing, Emenike is widely regarded as one of the most explosive Nigerian strikers of all time.
He is also one of the most popular Nigerian players ever in the now -defunct soccer video game franchise EA Sports FIFA.
